1967 Yoshiya, High Wheel Robot in Original Box w/inserts
This has to be the highest grade example of this classic wind-up toy robot I've seen. Produced by Yoshiya in Japan it doesn't have a single handling mark on it. Comes complete with it's original box which is also the best I've seen; plus original inserts. And it works great! Clockwork tin litho robot with 4-rotating chest gears moves forward with lumbering left/right walking motion. All tin litho with original plastic hands, gears, chest plate and eyes. Has an attached key and uses the telescopic position of the antenna as it's stop/start switch. Works great, but of course it no longer sparks. Has all four original rubber conveyor wheels under the feet. Deep purple to black colored body with red shoes and backpack. Marked "KO" and "Made in Japan" on backpack. Colorful box is illustrated with walking robot in the foreground and an astronaut in the background. KO trademark printed in lower left corner. Includes both original single-wall cardboard inserts.
